Property Company of Friends, Inc. (PRO-FRIENDS) village administrators led the homeowners in this activity involving the different representatives from the 6 phases of the development. Medium-sized Molave trees were planted in designated areas of Lancaster Village 2 West. Ruiz Fuentebella, landscape maintenance section head of PRO-FRIENDS, explained why they chose to plant this particular tree. “These medium-sized Molave trees, which also also produce flowers, will give good shade and at the same time will not be a threat to the constructed amenities around since its roots are not invasive,” said Fuentebella.

The tree planting project dubbed as “Friends of Earth” was participated by representatives from phases Somerset, Manchester, Kensington, Lancaster Residences, Lancaster Village Phases 1 & 2, and some PRO-FRIENDS employees.

In his welcome address, PDG head Engr. Nathaniel Dalmacio expressed his gratitude to everyone who participated in the event. “Sa pagdating ng panahon, makikita natin yung magiging bunga ng itinanim natin,” said Engr. Dalmacio.

For the homeowners, the experience was delightful and fulfilling. “Sumama kami, narito kami, para rin sa amin ito eh. Masaya kami rito dahil first time din naming na-meet (yung ibang homeowners sa ibang phase), kaya salamat at nagkaroon ng ganitong proyekto,” said Mirela Grepo, Lancaster Village homeowner.

The tree planting activity is the first inter-phase activity of Lancaster New City. Nida Detablan, Community Relations and Development Head of Lancaster New City stated, “This was organized to symbolize unity and to promote camaraderie among the homeowners regardless of which phase they reside”.

This activity marks the beginning of more upcoming programs that will involve homeowners’ participation from different phases. This endeavour is led by PRO-FRIENDS village administrators to further promote solidarity among Lancaster New City residents and future homeowners as well.
